Schwannomas are solitary, capsulated and asymptomatic lesions that originate from nerve sheath or schwann cells. Although intrathoracic lesions are mostly located in mediastinum, they rarely originate from intercostal nerves. We report a case of schwannoma arising from an intercostal nerve in 26-year-old man, with back pain and undergoing resection in the chest wall. The pain relieved after surgical treatment.
