Cardiac transplantation has taken its place as an inportant mode of therapy in the treatment of end- stage heart disease in nowadays. Organ transplantation has evolved with methods of immunosupressive ttreatment, pre and postoperative management, techniques and varius centers have started to perform the procedure. However, donor availability is still the major problem of the transplantation with in our country.

In the Istanbul University, İstanbul Medical Faculty a multiorgan transplantation (heart, liver 2 renals) has been done form a single donor with success.
