The extracranial atherosclerotic carotid artery lesions are frequent, but aneurysmatic formations are rare. These are mostly placed in the common carotid artery, especially at the bifurcation of internal and external carotid arteries. They secondly occur in the internal carotid artery. If not treated, these aneurysms carry a high risk of stroke and rupture. These complications are important causes of morbidity and mortality. In this article, we presented two cases of internal carotid artery aneurysms placed in the extracranial portion of the artery. After the exploration of the aneurysms under general anesthesia, they were resected, and arterial continuity was maintained by saphenous vein graft interposition.
