Cardiac hydatid cyst is a rare condition and represents 0.5% to 2% of all hydatid cysts in humans. They usually located in the left or right ventricle and especially in the interventricular septum. An exclusive pericardial hydatid cyst is excessively rare and remain asymptomatic until it ruptures. Treatment requires surgery combined medical management with albendazole. Most of the cardiac and pericardial hydatid cyst operations are required cardiopulmonary bypass. That’s why especially in redo operation bleeding problems may be higher than normal and cardiopulmonary bypass advers effects may be encountered. We performed two staged operation without using cardiopulmonary bypass and avoid from adhesions from the first operation. We belive that general anesthesia risks are not higher than cardiopulmonary bypass adverse effects.
