Elastofibroma dorsi is a rare soft tissue tumor occurring within the periscapular area between the ribs and dorsal chest wall muscles. A 35-year-old female patient presented with complaints of a swelling at the inferior border of the left scapula and pain on movements of the left arm. On physical examination, a mobile, non-tender, and semi-solid mass was detected in the inferoposterior aspect of the scapula, causing anterolateral displacement of the scapula on shoulder movements. Computed tomography showed a lesion of soft tissue density between the chest wall muscles and ribs. Surgical intervention was planned and an incisional biopsy was performed. Frozen section analysis showed a benign soft tissue tumor and the lesion was totally excised. Histopathologic diagnosis was elastofibroma dorsi. The patient had no complaints during six months postoperatively.
