With the advent of the antituberculous drugs the humanity has obtained important successes in the war against tuberculosis, a disease known since the Ancient Egypt which resulted in a loss of importance of surgery in this aspect. But nowadays with an increase in the number of the MDRTB cases surgery turned to be an important therapeutic modality again. In this paper the world literature concerning this subject is reviewed.
