An unusual application of percutaneous pulmonary valve implantation in congenitally corrected transposition of great arteries

Abstract
Percutaneous pulmonary valve implantation has emerged as
a non-surgical intervention for patients with right ventricular
outflow tract dysfunction. Congenitally corrected transposition
of the great arteries is a rare form of congenital heart disease
characterized by atrioventricular and ventriculoarterial
discordance. The long-term follow-up and management of
patients with this condition can pose significant challenges. In
this article, we present the successful percutaneous pulmonary
valve implantation in a 19-year-old patient with physiologically
repaired congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries.
