Evaluation of Cardiac Response in Coronary Artery Patients with The Method of Thoracic Electrical Bioimpedance During The Exercise Tolerance Testing

Thoracic Electrical Bioimpedance (TEB) is a method for measuring cardiac performance which is non invasive, continous, has minimal technical requirements, and no patient risk.

For this purpose, 28 male and 2 female ages ranged 32 to 56 (mean 47) normal individuals and 27 male and 3 female ages ranged 39 to 67 patients with coronary artery discase that was confirmed angiographically in their further investigations were taken to exercise tolerance testing (ETT) and TEB recordings was done during the testing. Bruce protocol was used during ETT and the results of study were classified as a stages.

In order to evaluate cardiac response, left cardiac work index (LCWI), systemic vascular index (SVRI), cardiac index (CI), stroke indeks (SI), end diastolik index (EDI), ejection fraction (EF), thoracic fluid index (TFC), indeks of contractility (IC), acceleration index (ACI) were obtained by using TEB.
