Raynaud Syndrome involves generally arteries and arterioles of upper limbs and occasionally the lower limbs symmetrically. Typically it is a vasospastic disorder, causing color change, pain or sensorial perception ability loss by exposure to cold or by emotional upsets with intermittent attacks. Intermittent digital ischemia is characteristic for its clinical symptomatology. Main etiologic factor of Raynaud Syndrome is not known clearly yet. But the studies in the recent years, about prostaglandin metabolism, microcirculation and role of endothelial cells have helped us to understand its pathophysiology largely and identify the new therapeutic approaches.
