Paget-von Schroetter syndrome is spontaneous thrombosis
of the subclavian vein, accounting for 0.5-1% of all vein
thromboses. A 22-year-old male patient presented with complaints
of pain and swelling in the right arm, of sudden onset.
Venous duplex ultrasound revealed subclavian vein thrombosis.
With early thrombolytic therapy, the symptoms of the
patient improved and venous patency was maintained.
