The Turkish Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery is the official journal of the Turkish Society of Cardiovascular Surgery and the Turkish Society of Thoracic Surgery. It is an international, open-access journal that welcomes articles on the subjects of cardiovascular surgery, cardiovascular anesthesia, cardiology, and thoracic surgery. The journal publishes all relevant clinical, surgical, and experimental studies, editorials, current and collective reviews, technical “How to Do It” articles, case reports, interesting images, video articles, reports of “New Ideas”, correspondences, and commentaries.

There are no submission or publication fees in the journal, as it is funded by the associated societies. The journal is published quarterly in January, April, July, and October. The editorial and publication processes of the journal are conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), the Council of Science Editors (CSE), the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal editors hold full responsibility in the review and approval of the published materials.
