Klippel Trenaunay syndrome is a congenital syndrome
characterized by varicosities presenting with skin
pigmentations and limb hypertrophy. The incidence has been
increasing in outpatient clinic. Although the management
of Klippel Trenaunay syndrome is primarily nonoperative,
the patients without any deep vein insufficiency can be
operated. We believe that this disease group should be
investigated further early detection, considering that the
complications of the disease with increasing mortality
including deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism
can be prevented.
