In this study, we report two cases who underwent
catheter-assisted embolectomy under fluoroscopy due to
insufficient conventional embolectomy. One of the patients
had ascending aortobifemoral bypass and the other had
aortoiliac bypass. In both cases, material incompatibilityrelated
complications developed and additional surgical
embolectomy procedures were performed. We believe
that with an adequate material support and increased
experience, catheter-assisted embolectomy could be
an alternative procedure in patients with insufficient
conventional embolectomy and in cases who are ineligible
for mechanical treatment and thrombolysis, in particular.
