A forty year old vvoman with drug-resistant tachycardia attacks was admitted to Istan-
bul Medical Faculty, Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Department and was diagnosed
to have a secundum type atrial septal defect and an accessory pathway localized in the right
ventricular free wall causing Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome. The accessory pathway was
surgically divided and cryoablated with success.
This case is the first successful application of surgical treatment for Wolff-Parkinson-
White syndrome in Turkcy using computerized methods.
