CARDIAC MYXOMA IN CHILDHOOD

Although cardiac myxomas are most common intracardiac mass in adults, the existance of myxomas in childhood is extremely rare. Myxomas may have familial inheritance and risk of fatal complications as arrthymia, sudden death, embolic events. We presented succesfully operated two cases with cardiac myxoma localized in the left atrium that were diagnosed echocardiographically before occurring any complication.
