The patient without any clinical symptoms or morphological abnormalities presented with an incidental finding of complete opasity of the right hemithorax detected on chest radiograph. Breath sounds were not audible on the right side of the chest. Heart sounds were heard most clearly to the right of the sternum. Computed tomographic examination, bronchography and pulmonary angiography were performed with a presumed diagnosis of unilateral pulmonary agenesis.
In this case report, imaging findings of a patient with right lung agenesis are described and discussed in view of the existing literature.
