Surgery is still the primary treatment modality for echinococcosis disease of the liver. Important complications may develop following the surgical treatment due to the surgical approach and a parasite. Cystic echinococcosis located at the diaphragmatic surface of the liver rarely open to the thorax cavity, but this condition can result in various complications in the lung parenchyma, pleura and bronchial tree. Bronchobiliary fistula occurring in hepatic echinococcosis disease is a rare but dangerous complication. In this report, we present two cases of bronchobiliary fistula which developed via two different types of echinococcosis infestation.
