Rectus sheath hematoma is a rarely seen entity often
misdiagnosed as acute abdomen. Prompt history with
careful physical examination and appropriate imaging
studies help the correct diagnosis avoiding unnecessary
laparotomies. In this article, we report a 67-year-oldmale
patient on oral anticoagulant therapy due to
mitral valve replacement who developed rectus sheath
hematoma.
