Splenic artery aneurysms are uncommon clinical entities
which usually follow an asymptomatic course having
the risk for rupture and fatal hemorrhage. In this article,
we present a 63-year-old male case with an abdominal
pulsatile mass. As revealed by computed tomography (CT),
a 23-cm diameter splenic artery aneurysm was strictly
adherent to pancreas. The aneurysmal sac was excised
through open surgical method and end-to-end anastomosis
was performed on the splenic artery without any need to
perform splenectomy.
