Bronchosopie was performed, for 119 patient from April 1987 to May 1994, because of suspected froeign body inhalation. 62 (52%) of the patients were male and remaining 57 (48%) were female. The ages were ranging between 5 month to 19 years, the mean agc was 4.9 years. A positive history of foreign body inhalation was obtained in 95% of the cases. Radioopaque foreign bodies, paranchymal infiltration and unilatcral hypoaeretion were the most common radiological findings. In all endoscopic procodures, a pediactric rigid bronchoscope was used with general anesthesia. The majority (40%) of the foreign bodies were found in right bronchial tree. The most common foreign bodies were; pins in 24 (23%) patients and sun flower seeds in 19 (%) patients. In 13 patients foreign body couldn't seen with bronchoscope. Thoracotomy was performed for two patients. Neither operatie complications nor mortality have seen.
