Of our cases treated because of BC, three were female (27%) and eight (73%) male with a mean age of 28.8 (7-47). In 8 cases, BC was detected in pulmonary parenchyma and in 3, in the mediastinum. The most frequent symptom was the pain on the chest, ipsilateral to the lesion (78%). We performed lobectomies in 2, wedge resections in 4, simple complete excision in 3 and cystectomy capitonnage (CC) in 2. The two patients that underwent CC, came up with recurrence. One of them was treated with lobectomy. We had no mortality and one patient developed atelectasis and pneumonia in the postoperative period.
In this study, we evaluated the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment methods, mortality and morbidity rates of our 11 BC cases retrospectively.
