We analyzed the data of 35 cases operated on with diagnosis of ischemic vascular disease of limbs between February 1986-June 1994 in Ondokuz Mayıs University, Medical Faculty, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, The averaga age of thirty-four males and a female was 58.6, Claudication was the most common symptom on all cases. Twenty-five patients had rest pain. Five cases had gangrenous alteration on their foots. Twenty-seven of the cases had smoked a long time (20-40 years) and eight patients had diabetes mellitus. Essential Hypertension on 18 cases and ischemic heart disease on 19 cases were found. Reversing saphenous vein on 30 cases and synthetic prosthetic material polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) on 5 cases were used as a vasculargraft. Three of the femoropopliteal grafts were bilateral. Simultaneously it was performed aortobifemoral bypass on a case, Synthetic graft material was not used infrapopliteal region. Amputation was necessary for 4 cases. Two cases was died of ischemic heart disease postoperativelly.
