In order to prevent the ischemia, the steal phenome-non and the subacute bacterial endocarditis caused by enlarged side branches and fistulae it is a must to stop the leakage. Albeit the procedure is customarily undergone operatively it is now possible that the leakage has percutaneously been interrupted. In the Institute of Cardiology we performed histoacrylic embolization of an enlarged side branch and a fistula and obtained succesfull break of leakings. This procedure should be considered in similar cases.
