The complications related with periferic vessels are frequently seen in gunshot injuries of the extremities. In most of these cases, the artery and the accompanied vein (and sometimes the nerve) are injured together and the physical examination signs exist on the time of the first intervention. In severe vascular injury, the early diagnosis and intervention are crucial for extremity salvage in most of the cases. In this study, we present a case of a femoral pseudoaneurysm developed in the late period after the close-range gunshot injury to the left femur distal end. In the surgery, it was noticed that only the femoral artery injured at the endpoint of the Hunter canal and there was no damage on the neighbored vein and nerve structures. The continuity of the artery was maintained by using goretex tube graft. In perforating injuries of the extremities, the findings of physical examination only might not be enough on ruling out any possible vascular pathology completely. By considering possible complications, one should not hesitate to use noninvasive and invasive technics.
