Popliteal artery entrapment syndrome (PAES) is a rare
clinical entity which is predominantly seen in young
athletic men. The primary symptom of PAES is intermittent
claudication. Surgery is the primary treatment of choice.
After surgery in adolescence period particularly, these
patients should be monitored closely because of risk of
recurrence.
