Chylothorax may occur due to accelerationdeceleration, injury or blunt injuries to the neck, thorax, or upper abdomen and hyperextension of the spine.

A 35 year-old female patient with a history of traffic accident 18 days ago was admitted to our hospital. She was treated with right tube thoracostomy and biochemical investigation of the fluid revealed cyle. She was tretıled conservativuly and dischargod nfter the draİnageceased spon- taneously. She was however, admitted to our clinic due to increased symptoms. Tube thoracos- tomy and parenteral nutrition were instituted. Despite ten days of treatment, there was no respons and the dııctus was repaired via right thomcotomy and this pruvided healing.
