Patients with coagulation disorder undergoing open heart surgery requires special management during perioperative period. A 70 year old hemophilia B patient who had coronary artery bypass grafting is reported. Factor IX were substituted according to the blood levels measured before the surgery, during and following the operation. Patient was discharged from the hospital without any hemothoracic complication. Coronary artery bypass grafting can be performed safely in hemophilia B patients by maintaining certain Factor IX levels.
