Pectus excavatum (PE) is a congenital deformity affecting mainly the costal cartilage. The cartilages develop in a concave position, and cause a sternal depression mostly above the xyphoid region. This malformation is diagnosed in the early childhood and the surgical repair is performed at the same age. There are few reports about the concomitant repair or PE and coronary artery disease in the elderly. In this case, PE was repaired using temporary sternal bar and the coronary by-pass surgery was performed succesfully without any complication.
