Magnetic resonance imagining can provide images with high soft tissue contrast resolution. Most of the radiological imagining techniques give information about the only pathological anatomy. Functional evaluation is as important as morphologic evaluation for cardiovascular diseases. In the last decade, magnetic resonance imagining is gaind acceptance for functional evaluation of cardiovascular system with technological development.

A high natural contrast exists between bloor pool and cardiovascular structures in magnetic resonance imagining. Because it does not reuire the use of ionizing radiation and contrast materials, magnetic resonance imaging is a completely noninvasive and riskfree diagnostic tool for evaluation of cardiovascular system.
