Vascular rings are defined as a group of anomalies of the arcus aorta, which cause respiratory and feeding problems by compressing trachea and esophagus. Vascular rings are seen very rarely (< 1%) among all congenital cardiovascular anomalies. Double arcus aorta is the most common complete vascular ring (40%), and symptoms like inspiratory stridor, syncope or cough and cyanosis after feeding, tend to become early in life and more severe comparing to other vascular rings. In this study, we presented 3 patients with double arcus aorta who were admitted to our clinic with diagnosis of vascular ring and assessed from the point of additional diagnosis and surgical treatment in a period of 4 years between 1996 and 2000.
