Brucella endocarditis is a potentially fatal condition. Mostly prosthetic and native cardiac valves are involved, but involvement of ventricular septal defect (VSD) patch is very rare. We would like to share our experience with a case of brucella endocarditis of a prosthetic VSD patch. The patient had a recurrent VSD at first postoperative month. He was treated succesfully with debridement and reattachment of the same patch without replacement of prosthetic patch in addition to long term antibiotic treatment.
