The thin-walled poststenotic dilatation in the case of excessively calcified and stenotic aortic valve might be the important technical problem during the operation.

We performed simply shawl technique that reduces the cross-sectional diameter of the ascending aorta toward a normal radius without the use of substantial prosthetic material in a case of our patients.
