Injuries of the tracheabronchial from that ocurs after traffic accidents or falling high are the most serious and life-threatening of all traumatic injuries. In this paper we report five cases that were diagnosed and treated in our department. Four of them were bronchial rupture following blunt trauma and the other one was tracheal rupture caused by stab wound. Although bronchoscopy was performed in all of them on the preoperative period, the diagnosis wes complete in only three cases. Tracheal or tracheobronchial injuries were determined with exploration on the other cases.
