Conduction disturbances after the coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) can be seen in 4 to 34% of patients. It has been claimed that, differences in surgical technique as well as specific arteriel lesions contribute to these conduction abnormalities. We studied 100 patients randomly selected among patients who have been admitted to Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Medical Faculty of Istanbul, Istanbul University for CABG in the last year. This research was conducted to study the relationship between CABG and conduction disturbances.

Our study wa based on the Mosseri's classification for first septal artery pathology. We found a signifiant relationship between first septal oronary artery blood flow and the incidence of conduction disturbances after the coronary artery bypass grafting (p<0.001).
