Diagnosis of all patients were made by physical examination and echocardiography. Catheterization study was done in 8 cases to research additional pathology. Operation was made through standard posterolateral thoracotomy. Division was performed by 3 clamp (1 straight and 2 angled fine-toothed Potts) technique. There were no operative mortality and complications. Mean follow -up time of patients was 12.4 months (1-24 months). There were no early and /or late morbidity and mortality.
We believe that, particularly in the childhood and the adolescent, technique of division may be used safely to overcome late complications such as recurrence of ductal patency and false aneurysm.
