Poland’s syndrome is a rare congenital anomaly characterized by the absence of the pectoral muscle, varying chest deformities, and hand anomalies. Although the exact etiology of the syndrome is unknown, the accepted theory is the temporary interruption of blood supply in the subclavian artery and its branches in the early gestational period. Poland’s syndrome is a unilateral deformity. Patients often present with complaints of asymmetric body appearance. Several surgical treatments are available. The aim of surgical treatment is to ensure chest wall stability and to build a symmetrical appearance.
