A coexisting coronary heart disease may increase the operative
mortality and morbidity rates of lung resection. A simultaneous
or a two-stage procedure using myocardial revascularization
prior to the pulmonary resection may reduce the postoperative
morbidity and mortality. Herein, we present a 65-year-old male
case of a lung adenocarcinoma in whom a simultaneous coronary
artery bypass grafting on a beating heart and right upper
lobectomy was performed.
