In treatment, low-molecule weighted heparin was used in 155 patients (44%), standart heparin was used in 173 patients (50%), fibrinolytic agents were used in 14 patients (4%). Pulmonary embolectomy was applied to 4 patients (1%) and ileofemoral trombectomy to 3 patients (1%).
With the results obtained, we concluded that, due to effectiveness and lower bleeding risk and application facility of low molecular weighted heparin, it began to replace standart heparins, and fibrinolytic therapy could be used in early cases because of succesful results, and that thrombectomy could still be applied in suitable cases.
