Myxoma is the most common type of primary cardiac tumors
and is usually benign and asymptomatic, although it has
been reported with fatal complications due to extracardiac
manifestations. Extracorporeal cardiopulmonary
resuscitation, a rescue therapy for cardiac arrest, yields
favorable outcomes, only if complications have a reversible
origin. Herein, we report the first case of abdominal
aortic occlusion due to total myxoma detachment who was
successfully treated with extracorporeal cardiopulmonary
resuscitation.
