Video Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery Procedures

10 bilateral thoracal sympathectomies, 3 pulmonary wedge resections and 2 mediastinal lymph node biopsies were performed by video assisted thoracoscopic surgery. All of the cases at sympathectomy group were females in the mean age of 33. All of 2 the operations were performed under general anesthesia via double lumen endotracheal tube. There were no morbidity and mortalityand meanhospital stay was 2 days. Various biopsy procedures were performed and 5 male cases with the same method. The mean age of the cases at this group was 63. Wedge biopsies from the lungs were performed under local anesthesia with the aid of the previously existed athelectasia due to pleural fluid. There was no complication due to the procedure also at this group.
