Thymoma is the most common primary tumor of the
anterosuperior mediastinum in adults. Originating from
the thymic epithelial cells, these tumors were reported to
have an incidence of 0.15/100.000. These tumors generally
have a benign character and 30-40% of the cases are
accompanied by myasthenia gravis. However, the tumor
very rarely has a localization outside the anterosuperior
mediastinum and an invasive character. In this article, we
report a a thymoma case with intrapulmonary localization
and pericardial invasion in a patient with myasthenic
symptoms.
