Endobronchial treatment of tracheal granulation tissue resembling a tumor

A 75-year-old male patient was admitted with the complaint of dyspnea. Thoracic computed tomography (CT) revealed a narrowing lesion with a size of 10 cm. Bronchoscopy showed a lesion which constricted the lumen almost 50% in the right anterolateral wall following tracheostomy. The result of pathological examination was reported as a granulation tissue. Surgical therapy was not scheduled. Endobronchial argon plasma coagulation was carried out through fiberoptic bronchoscopy. A significant symptomatic relief with improved blood gases was observed. No recurrence was experienced for the patient who has been followed for 30 months.
