It is thought that Chlamydia pneumoniae (Cp) enfection could participate in the thicking of the wall of venous system. It has also been invastigated whether Cp is a risk factor or not for deep venous trombosis. In this study, Cp IgG, Cp IgM and Cp IgA antibodies were investigated, using microimmunoflouresan in the study group (22 patients with deep venous thrombosis) and control group ( 8 normal population) in the first and thirth mounth. Cp IgG antibodies of the study were two times higher than the control group. Both antibiotherapy and routin anticoagulant therapy quietly removed Cp IgG antibodies in the study group.
