The Second application report of Pulse Duplicated System designed and realized at TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center to investigate the hemodynamial characteristics of the heart valve prothesis is presented.

In our study we measured the opening gradients of 29 St.Jude and Björk-Shiley mitral valves and calculated the effective orifice area. Our findigs correlate well with the literature values of this valves.
