Diagnosis and Management of Aortic Intarumal Hematoma

Aortic intramural hematoma (IMH), recently more easily diagnosed by MR, CT transesophageal echocardiography. Intramural hematoma of ascenden aorta have higher mortality and morbidity by medical therapy so surgical intervention should be performed in emergency basis. Conversely uncomplicated decenden aorta IMHs not require surgical treatment especially if the pain and expansion of hematoma can be controlled with antyhypertensive therapy. But there were a lot lof conflicting results. There were not single therapy concept for IMH. But further studies and follow-up results will determinate therapy concept for IMHs.
