Pulmonary autologous valves have been one of the most recommended prosthesis for especially young patients because of its lack of tissue degenerative changes, no need for anticoagulation, resistance to infection and having potential to function longer than other biologic or mechanical valves while exhibiting the same inherent hemodynamic advantages. We hereby present a young patient with aortic infective endocarditis resistant to medical therapy that underwent aortic valve replacement via Ross procedure for the first time in our country as well as discussing current literature.
