A 27-year-old woman admitted to the hospital with Horner’s syndrome by taking the findings of a swelling on the left side of her neck ipsilateral ptosis, miosis, enophthalmus and anhidrosis of the same half of the face into consideration. This patient had undergone mitral valve replacement operation 20 days ago. The diagnosis of carotid artery pseudoaneurysm was suspected based on a recent history of left carotid artery puncture during internal jugular venous catheterization at the primary operation. She had a normal neurologic examination before operation. Digital subtraction angiography identified one pseudoaneurysm formation in bifurcation of left extracranial internal carotid artery. She was operated with deep cervical plexus block. She was followed by echo color doppler and her symptoms ameliorated quickly after surgical treatment.
